why goat milk?

“What’s so special about goat milk?”

It’s one of the questions we get asked time and again.

Beside the fact that goats are awesome, we use goat milk in our products for the many properties it contains that make it a perfect natural moisturizer!

Some of these beneficial properties include zinc, alpha hydroxy acids, amino acids, and vitamins A, B, C and E. Because goat milk has a very similar pH level to skin, these nutrients can be easily absorbed by us human types.
Many of our regular customers report that after regular use of Gritty Goat Soap products they don’t need to moisturize as often… or even at all. No wonder those sneaky goats are so soft!
